Athleader is excited to be offering our amazing after school program on two new campuses this fall!
Athleader is an outdoor activity and motion based after school program focused on getting kids outside and moving each day. Our amazing program has been serving our East Dallas families since 2017. Coach Russ and Coach Chris are current Woodrow dads and run the Athleader focusing on teamwork, leadership and cooperation.
Having fun everyday by having our kids active and outdoors is the main goal! Athleader’s combination of structured activities and supervised free play promotes physical and social development as well as encourages exploration, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
Our Program
Our Athleader program is second to none! We engage your child each day with a healthy dose of outdoor activities and a dedicated staff to help guide them.
Our Team
We pride ourselves on having an amazing team to help assist or lead with our program. Our coaches are passionate about working with children. We use a combination of seasoned staff and local high school seniors to create a nurturing and fun atmosphere each day.
Our Founders
Coach Russ McMillan is a former UNT football player. He has coached kids sports for years and has a deep commitment to teaching kids lifelong fitness habits and fostering an environment of respect, teamwork and a "never quit" attitude.
Coach Chris Prestridge is a community leader and has been a tenacious advocate for East Dallas area public schools, kids and our extended community.
Both Russ and Chris have worked together on school campuses with boys and girls of all ages and both are tireless champions for all our East Dallas area children.
